Bluboo Dual - GPS / navigation issues.

Post by mspw » Wed Mar 15, 2017 5:32 am

Hello there,

I own a Bluboo Dual and am located in Sydney, Australia. Needless to say I've already spoken with support and have performed a factory reset on the phone. I've also installed the latest firmware (posted on this forum). The problem for me is that using the phone for navigation is not practical.

Using WAZE, I get a GPS lock and all seems well but it just keeps jumping all over the place whilst on route. I thought I mastered swearing after I got my drivers license - well using the dual for navigation has taken that to a new level. The problem is constant - it will not keep an accurate GPS lock.
When I contacted support, they mentioned a firmware update to address this problem is in the works. I was wondering when this will be made available or if there's a workaround to the GPS problem?

Hello, I'm speaking from Portugal. I bought a Bluboo Dual 2 weeks ago, and I'm having same problem stated on previously message. The problem is with Waze and Google Maps apps. Is there any solution or maybe is better to return phone to seller?!. Thanks Alex

Hello once again, the phone received about 3 or 4 OS updates last weekend. I thought GPS was being fixed but unfortunately, no

I've confirmed today, after driving for more than 400 km and GPS is with glitches and going out from the route. Plus the fact that is showing constant message in Google Maps that os searching for GPS signal.

Please solve as soon as possible, is annoying and impossible to use Google Maps or Waze app.

Thanks Alex

Hi, I live in Adelaide in Australia and I am experiencing the exact same symptoms with the GPS signal. I have several navigation apps on my dual and all don't work accurately due to poor GPS signal. These apps include, navigon, sygic, hema 4x4 and google maps. Please bluboo will you hurry up and fix this issue, I like everything else about this phone but the poor GPS signal good be a deal breaker. Please fix as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!!

I can confirm that after the latest update only a couple of days ago they have not fixed the GPS signal issue. It still has terrible lag time and still says it has poor GPS signal using navigon, sygic and google maps. Using ygps you can see that the GPS picks up satellites, the phone just fails to use them properly. I wonder if its a GPS driver software that needs to be improved on. Something defiently needs to be changed. The phone is useless for any kind of navigational purpose like it is. Come on bluboo, you need to change this in the next firmware upgrade!!!!
